JOHN JOSEPH MURRAY

Died: Denver, Colorado December 30, 1946John was the third child of Patrick and Julia Murray. He worked for the Denver Dry Goods Company his entire career, beginning in 1894 as a messenger, working his way up to a clerk in 1897, then to a time keeper and pay master from 1898 to 1946. At the time of his death, he was the oldest employee of the company.

John died in St. Joseph's Hospital on December 30, 1946. According to his obituary, his brother Billy arrived from Freeport, New York to attend the funeral. The requiem mass was held on January 3rd at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, and was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery the same day, where his brother James and mother Julia rested. He never married.
